Isaiah

Isaiah is an energetic sixth grader who's been attending CityCURE Summer Camps since he was five years-old. He recently joined The God Squad. Isaiah has nine brothers and sisters. Some live with his dad and the rest live with Isaiah and his mom.

“I used to be a bad kid,” he says. “Fighting with other kids and pushing my little sisters.”

At a CityCURE camp he prayed about “doing good.” A few days later Isaiah was standing outside:  “I was going to throw a rock at a car, but something just stopped my hand. I couldn’t throw the rock. It was like a little pull.” Isaiah thinks God stopped him from throwing the rock.

In the summer of 2005 Isaiah became a Christian. He decided to stop cussing, pushing his sisters and fighting with kids in the neighborhood. Isaiah hopes that the “thing” that happened to him when he was about to throw the rock keeps happening.
