Jacole

It's hard to imagine Jacole being anything but the cute and lovable little girl she is today, until you hear from her how much she has changed.

"Every day of my life I used to lie," Jacole says. "I lied to my mom, I'd lie to my friends. I got in trouble at a lot at school, used to talk back to the teachers." She quickly adds, "But I always get good grades."

Jacole's relationship with Gordon, her CityCURE mentor, has helped her understand how to make good choices which has led to great changes in her attitude and behavior.

"The things I used to do in the past I don't do now, how I acted, I don't really do that now. I think, should I do that, should I not? What would Jesus do?"

"I used to bully my cousins. I used to boss people around because they weren't doing what I wanted them to do. Now I don't do that, because when Jesus came into my life I knew that wasn't right."

Jacole is a member of The God Squad and Princesses Ballet, programs led by Gordon. His teaching, encouragement, and Godly example have been pivotal in Jacole's life. Her eyes light up when she speaks of him. "I really appreciate what Gordon's doing for me."
