From Roger Howell, President of CityCURE

Dear Friend,

CityCURE has never written a letter like this, but most of us have never experienced a time like this either. We are sending this to all our faithful friends to reach out in two very different ways. This is a unique time and with it comes a unique opportunity, depending on how the recession has affected you.

First, we want to reach out to all those that have experienced hardships during this time. To all of our friends that have lost jobs, own businesses that are struggling, had their hours or wages cut, experienced emotional distress, or any multitude of other reasons, we are calling out to you.

You have been there for us. You have shared your resources and provided opportunities to youth on the edge of despair. Now, in the midst of a difficult time would you allow us to pray for you? We would consider it an honor and a privilege. We value your partnership and want to support you in your time of need. Please send you request to clewis@citycure.org.

If you are someone who does not fit the description above and you have weathered the economic storm then please read the next paragraphs with prayerful urgency.

Unfortunately it is a reality that so many have been devastated by the economy. We continue to receive letters from individuals and churches that have expressed their sadness because they can no longer support CityCURE due to changes to their economic resources. Over the course of this year, this has directly affected the ministry.

Now we find ourselves in a very unique position. As of the end of August CityCURE has fallen into a negative balance and we need you. If you have not been affected by the recession we are asking for your immediate help.

Please step up and help cover the gap of those that cannot give. Ten thousand youth still need life changing programs. Please give your gift today; it will be used immediately to help these children. Thank you!

Gratefully,
Roger Howell
