Mentors Change Lives
CityCURE cares about these hurting kids and their futures. We offer a wide variety of programs for youth but most importantly, we help children have one-to-one relationships with caring adult mentors. Mentored youth are: Mentored youth are also more likely to have greater self-esteem, have confidence in their schoolwork, get along better with their friends and families, and attend college. Are you interested in becoming a mentor? If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please attend one of our Mentoring Training and Information Sessions. This training is required for all current mentors and open to anyone interested in learning more. One in three children in Cincinnati lives in poverty. The Ohio Department of Education reports that more than 37% of children enrolled in the Cincinnati City School District are not proficient in reading. Sadly, more than 23% of all students in this district do not graduate from high school.
